AngelPie – Custom Cake Ordering Software & Cake Configurator
For AngelPie, we developed a custom cake ordering platform that goes far beyond a traditional bakery website or product catalogue. At the heart of the project is a custom Cake Configurator, allowing customers to create and personalize their dream cake through a guided, step-by-step digital experience. The project was developed from the ground up and includes a custom UI/UX, graphic interface design, multilingual architecture, programmatic SEO pages, Google Search Console configuration, and a bespoke logo and visual identity for AngelPie.
Our objective with AngelPie was not simply to create an attractive website for showcasing cakes. We developed a custom digital platform capable of transforming the brand's personalized cake-making process into an interactive online experience.
One of the most important components of the project is the Cake Configurator.
Instead of limiting customers to predefined cake models, the configurator guides them through a structured process where they can define their preferences and create a cake request tailored to their occasion and expectations.
The customer journey was designed to replace complicated traditional order forms with a more visual, intuitive, and guided experience.
To reflect AngelPie's premium and bespoke approach to cake design, we also created the website's UI/UX and graphic interfaces from scratch.
Large-scale cake photography, sophisticated typography, premium presentation areas, modern product cards, strategically positioned calls to action, and responsive layouts were combined into a consistent visual language.
Because AngelPie serves an international audience, we developed a multilingual architecture supporting Dutch, English, and German content.
We also implemented a programmatic SEO infrastructure designed to expand the website's organic search footprint beyond a limited number of conventional pages. This provides a scalable foundation for creating search-focused pages around cake types, occasions, services, and relevant customer search intents.
The website was also configured for Google Search Console, providing the technical foundation required to monitor indexing, search visibility, and organic performance.
To complete the brand's digital identity, we also created the AngelPie logo and supporting visual design language.
How we built it
Problem
Personalized cakes cannot be represented effectively through a conventional product catalogue alone. Every customer may have different expectations regarding the cake, occasion, visual style, and other personalization requirements.
AngelPie therefore needed more than a standard bakery website. The brand required an interactive digital experience where customers could communicate and structure their individual cake requirements.
As a Netherlands-based brand serving different audiences, AngelPie also required multilingual capabilities and a scalable search architecture capable of increasing visibility across a broader range of relevant Google searches.
Solution
We approached AngelPie as a complete digital product rather than a conventional website.
At the center of the platform, we developed a custom Cake Configurator, creating a structured and interactive experience through which customers can define their personalized cake requirements.
Alongside the configurator, we created a bespoke UI/UX and graphic design system, developed Dutch, English, and German language support, implemented programmatic SEO architecture, configured Google Search Console, and designed a custom logo for the AngelPie brand.

SEO
scalable programmatic SEO architecture was developed to help AngelPie build organic visibility not only for branded searches but also for cake types, special occasions, personalized cake requirements, services, and other relevant search intents.
The project includes SEO-friendly URL architecture, dynamic meta titles and descriptions, semantic heading hierarchy, canonical infrastructure, image alternative text, indexable content structures, and multilingual SEO foundations.
The architecture was designed to support Dutch, English, and German content while providing search engines with a clear language-specific site structure.
We also configured Google Search Console and the fundamental indexing infrastructure required to monitor the website's technical visibility and organic search performance.
Performance
Because premium cake websites rely heavily on high-quality imagery, the frontend architecture was developed to balance visual presentation with performance.
Responsive media handling, optimized interface components, and mobile-first layouts were implemented to provide a consistent browsing experience across different screen sizes.
The Cake Configurator user flow was also optimized to reduce unnecessary complexity and help visitors move through the personalization process more naturally.
